I know it has been a long while. What can I say;life is busy. Winter has arrived and there is plenty of snow. What better time to curl up and read a good book. Over the next while, I hope to share some of the great books that I've read with you. I would really like to hear about the ones that you've enjoyed too. I do read alot and my idea of a good book is one that either teaches me something, inspires me or allows me to escape completely between its covers.

Marsha Hunt is one tough cookie. She was immersed in the music scene of the 70s and hung out with Mick Jagger et al. What a brilliantly confident woman at home in her own skin. She looks just as beautiful in her 2005 picture as she looked back in 1968. Her story showcases how strong and resilient women are. It also illustrates for me, how breast cancer does not and cannot diminish someone. That actually applies to any disease. Cancer cannot take a person's soul. Disease and health issues challenge us. Sometimes, it gives us permission to show who we really are. Happy reading and stay warm!!!
